- The Quilt Pattern Database at the Akron Public library. The page allows you to select a block name from an enormous list, and it returns a list of the books that the library has available with that quilt block in it.
- Quiltville is home to Bonnie Hunter, a professional quilter & designer. She has quite a few scrap block patterns available for free use on her site. She does have a few (very reasonable) restrictions so be sure to read them before you use her patterns.
- Quilt Blocks Galore at the Marcia Hohn’s Quilter’s Cache. There is a large number of blocks here, available to browse in a variety of different ways. She also has restrictions and hers are very specific so be sure to read them before you use her patterns. Also – just a warning – the site plays music.
- Paper-pieced blocks at Block Central. There aren’t too many blocks here but it does include a few quilt designs as well.
- Free Quilt Patterns has over a thousand free patterns to choose from. You can browse by category (i.e., holidays) or by block name.
