Happy Halloween!!

Here is the couch carcass in it’s current state:

And The Husband showing off his handiwork in our Bonus Room:

The Husband's door frame!

So what do you think about swapping out one of the charity quilts (replacing it with a quilt I would make from blocks I already have) so that I can keep it?  Does that break the spirit of the challenge?  Leave me a comment to tell me what you think!

It sounds okay to me but I don’t know the details of the challenge!

I think that if you look at the purpose of a charity quilt challenge, it is to provide quilts for charity. Will you still be doing that? Yes. So I think there is no problem unless the challenge specified that the quilts had to be made, not donated, within a certain timeframe.

Kelley, so so nice to hear your lovely voice again. I was wondering how much longer it would be and then here you are! :)

I can’t remember details exactly about your quilt challenge either, but I had thought that the challenge was your own challenge of your self to yourself. So in that case, you’re going to be making a quilt for you, that’s fine & in the spirit of the challenge, and using your extra blocks for the challenge should be good enough to absolve your guilty conscience about making a block for yourself. I believe that you should do things for yourself too – working too much for others can be exhausting. And you are always doing well to think of others in your quilting. Just don’t let a quilt for yourself give you the excuse that the quilt doesn’t have to get done. Many times my own quilts are the ones that get pushed to the back burner, but that shouldn’t be the case because I’m important too, and that would be my only caution in switching for your challenge.
