Episode 49 – NQA show recap

Have you been to the NQA show in Columbus, Ohio? I went to the 2012 show in June and in this episode I talked about some of the trends that I noticed. A number of quilts there reminded me of the style in this book:

Also I saw a lot of Swarovski crystals bling-blinging around. I did a little searching around about them because I really don’t know anything about them. I know they are shiny and hard to pronounce and that is about it. This blog gives a little more detail about them.

I also mentioned a really cool website called Craft Gossip. They kindly linked to my free Hot Plate pattern tutorial awhile back. Thank you to the Craft Gossip staff!

You can click here to listen to (or download, if you right-click and choose ‘save as’) the show. Thank you for listening and have a great day!

I agree with the Quilt Show comments.

Sometimes I get overwhelmed by the Art and Modern Quilts; they are beautiful but they are so far beyond my time and artistic abilities that I get numb to them.

As far as feet in pix; Pam from “Hip to be a Square” calls that a Quilt ZOmbie picture when you see the hands and feet only. :) Works for me.

    All the best.
