Here are some photos of the snow dyeing process…
About an hour later it looked like this:

And probably about four hours after I started it looked like this:

The instructions said it would take about 8 hours to melt. But it also said that the garage is the perfect temp to do it in and I did it indoors in our laundry room. I thought my snow would melt a lot faster since it was inside. It didn’t seem to, though. 8 hours is about right.
Here is batch 2. I decided to keep the red at the edges because it so dominated the first batch.

And finally batch 3. I wanted to see if the edges of the stripes would blend together. They did, but as it melted the red stripe took up much more space. I think that is because I used up all of the dye that I had mixed up and I had the most red.

Soon I’ll post some pics of the resulting fabric. It was fun!
